The Next Erin Andrews? 10 Hotties That Could Replace Her
Erin Andrews has ruled the roost of sideline reporting for the past few years. She has become an internet sensation and young men all over the country do backflips every time she is schedule to work one of their college football games.
But can there be too much of a good thing? Is Erin Andrews' unchallenged reign as the top sideline hottie a problem? We all know that competition raises the bar, so I think it's about time that we start really looking for the next EA.
We're not ready to replace you just yet, Erin, but these young guns have got you in their sights for sure.
No. 10: Ines Sainz
While she may be older than Erin Andrews, and therefore making it harder to label her the "next" Erin Andrews, Sainz has been far less visible, working mainly in Mexico, but with a body like that, a crossover to America isn't completely out of the question.
Besides, she's already done some work reporting from the Super Bowl.
No. 9: Molly Sullivan
A contender against Andrews for the Playboy Sexiest Sportscaster of 2009, Molly Sullivan's considerable talents are, for the most part, wasted on the Mountain West Network.
Someone this good looking with an obvious knowledge of the game of football needs to be shared with the entire world. ESPN should have her on their radar, and Erin Andrews should as well.
No. 8: Kristen Berset
Another blond bombshell, Berset is also a beauty contest alumni and is currently the sports anchor for a local station in Baltimore.
She definitely has potential to break out and ESPN would be smart to grab her (figuratively speaking) before anyone else has the chance to.
No. 7: Allie LaForce
The website Mr. Irrelevant has already labeled Ms. LaForce as the next Erin Andrews.
Though now she is just a junior at Ohio University and no longer on the basketball team, the former Miss Teen USA 2005 already has her sights set on getting into the world of sports journalism, and I would be surprised if all that means is a weekly newspaper article.
No. 6: Melanie Collins
This former bikini model turned reporter for NBA TV has exactly what we're looking for in the next Erin Andrews—the phrase "former bikini model" on her resume and a fun, relatable personality.
And if you need a reason that she should be more visible in sports, this picture should convince you.
No. 5: Jenn Sterger
Yes, the famous FSU cowgirl herself. After she turned almost every young man in America into a temporary Seminoles fan, she went on to write a few articles for Sports Illustrated and was even hired by the Jets to be their Game Day host.
While she has recently moved into "feature" films (read: films that nobody other than her friends and family will see), Sterger has the recognition of football fans, a love for the game, and most importantly good looks to be the next Erin Andrews.
No. 4: Charissa Thompson
Erin Andrews may have won Playboy's Sexiest Sportscaster for the second year in a row, but that title didn't come easily, as she had to defeat Charissa Thompson.
Charissa is a rising star, appearing on NFL on Fox, doing sideline reporting for the Big 10 Network and Fox Sports Net, as well as handing reporting duties for this summer's Shaq Vs.
She's got the looks and the obvious work ethic to possibly reach EA status.
No. 3: Jenn Brown
One of the biggest prospects for the next Erin Andrews because she is already on ESPN and working college football games. Jenn Brown has got looks to kill and she's not afraid to use them.
ESPN should get her out early and often during football season. I'm definitely in favor of seeing more of her.
No. 2: Ashley Russell
Formerly of Rivals.com and now working the sidelines for the Big Ten Network, Ashley Russell has got these crazy hot eyes that would be virtually impossible to look away from if you weren't so tempted to look at the rest of her.
Another college football fan with the goods to back up that pretty face, Ashley Russell is soon become an internet favorite that rivals what Erin Andrews has established. It may not be that long til she overtakes her.
No. 1: Sam Steele
While she has the looks to stand up next to the rest of these candidates, what really made me (and possibly the rest of the country) fall for Ms. Steele is the video below.
She's cute, funny, has a great arm, and can take hit like a champ. Even though she suffered a concussion, she toughed it out to cover a game later that day. That's the kind of girl I'm interested in.
The only stumbling block is that ESPN already has a Sage Steele. Maybe they can have a Steele Cage Match to see who gets to keep their last name. I'm rooting for Sam and, judging from the video, she's got the physical edge.
