I decided to do this list because I believe it is fate that the phillies are going to win the World Series. I was supposed to be off tonight for Game 6 of the World Series, but my Boss called me about an hour ago and asked if I could come in tonight and he would give me off Thursday (Game 7). So I just thought that it had to be a higher power letting me know that there will be a Game 7 and the Phillies will win the Fall Classic.
These are the 5 reasons I believe the Philadelphia Phillies will win game 6 tonight and force game 7 tomorrow. This is not based on fact, records, player performance, or anything else Joe Buck has to say. This is strickly my view on game 6 and the entire Phillies team.
5. Pedro Martinez
He just has to win. He put a chip on his own shoulder and it seemed to have really worked for him. He hates New York so much he signed with the Mets after leaving Boston. I know he's full of crap but who really cares, his pitched great. All Pedro needs is the run support on offense that the Phils have been giving Cliff Lee and we will win in outstanding fashion.
4. Philly Phanatic
Why you may ask. He is the brains of the operation in Philadelphia. I believe it was his idea to go with Cliff Lee instead of trading for Halladay. Reuben Amaro Jr. should just come out and tell everyone he had nothing to do with it, it was all the Phanatic. Because behind the chest bumping and butt shaking I think there really is a GM in the making.
3. Ryan Howard
Howard will break out in Game 6, because he has always been a clutch hitter and this is as clutch as they come. We will get a few baserunners on in the 1st and Howard is going to let it rip. Thats not a prediction thats a promise.
2. Brad Lidge
The reason I believe he will help us win is because he will not be out there. Whatever magic he had coming into the postseason was grabbed and crushed with that god forsaken infield shift in game 4. His magic from last year GONE and I honestly don't know if he can ever get it back.
1. Chase Utley
Do I even need to say anything? He's tied Reggie Jackson for Most Home-Runs in a single World Series. So that's, that!
