The sportsdirect.com at St James' Park Stadium?

What a joke!

So Mike Ashley, who continually complains about the personal cost to him of running Newcastle United has brought in the company he has a 72 percent share in, to attempt to fund transfers in a temporary deal until the end of the season.

The name becomes even more ridiculous because of the very loud public backlash over the plans to drop the St James' Park name. It was even brought up in the House of Commons by Tyne Bridge MP David Clelland.

It seems to me that he will not be able to secure a big company unless United are back in the Premier League next season.

Is anyone actually going to use the new name outside of the club? I think not. Those considering it should be advised against it.

The sooner this man is out of Newcastle, the better it will be for all concerned with the club.
