DEFENSE
We'll start out with some stats. The Vols are ranked 13th nationally in total defense (281.6 yards per game), they're ranked 22nd in scoring defense (17.7 points per game).
Now that we got hogwash' out of the way lets move on to what's important, the players. As you might know, Junior Eric Berry is the best damn safety in college football and likely to be in the top 2 or 3 in April's draft. Tackle Dan William's has got his game going on, being at least as good if not better than any other interior lineman in college football.
OFFENSE
Well, an old friend of mine once said to me "If we ain't a hittin', and we ain't a heavin' we ain't a doin' nothin'" well I've got to say if that damn sure doesn't describe this piss-poor offense. At times, quarterback Jonathon Crompton looks as if he couldn't pass against pop warner defenses.
IN TALLY
With 4 wins and 4 losses its rough, but it ain't all bad news with upcoming opponents like Memphis, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky will guarantee a winning season. With a toss up game vs. Ole Miss, hell they might even make it to the Pizza bowl.
