Last Sunday the Tennessee Titans played the Jacksonville Jaguars at LP field in Nashville, Tennessee. The game marked Vince young’s, the Titans quarterback, first game as the starter since September 7th, 2008. There was a lot of excitement as the starting offense was called on to the field. Chris Johnson and Vince Young might have got the biggest cheers as they ran through the big inflated Titans helmet. The Titans won the toss and elected to receive. The first Tennessee drive ended on a 48 yard field goal by kicker Rob Bironas. After the 1st quarter came to a end Tennessee lead the game 3 to 0. The Titans next scoring drive was one that was very exciting for Vince Young because he threw a beautiful 6 yard fade touchdown to Nate Washington. Needless to say that touchdown gave “VY” a lot of confidence. Vince Young did really good in making smart decisions and running when needed but the MVP of the day belonged to Tennessee running back Chris Johnson for his record breaking day. “CJ” ran for 228 yards and two TDS breaking the old franchise record ,held by both Eddie George and Billy Cannon, by twelve yards. Two of his many runs included a 89 yard TD and a 52 yard TD. I haven’t forgot the defense though they did there part in sacking David Garrard four times, intercepting him twice, and putting him on his back a number of times. The Titans win was largely due to a total team effort by defense, offense, and special teams. I think they can keep this up and continue to win.
