After eight weeks of play, we're about halfway through the NFL season, which means that cheerleading squads are halfway done as well.
Here at Bleacher Report, we are an equal rights group and think that the women who cheer on the teams deserve just as much recognition as the teams themselves. So without any further ado, here are the NFL Midseason Cheerleader Awards.
Sometimes less is more. The Eagles have figured that out. Year in and year out they send their cheerleaders onto the field in less material than most men's boxers.
It's not the most stylish of uniforms, but dammit, it gets the job done. And most guys seem to like it.
Speaking of consistency, the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders have been wearing the same outfit for years, but they have been smart enough to know that they don't need to change a thing about it.
Coaches may change, quarterbacks may change, but I know that every year I can look forward to those shirts tied right at the perfect place and the legs to be long and displayed.
God bless Texas.
I'm not sure what the Falcons cheerleaders were going for here, but I have to give them credit for being brave enough to trot out some headbands.
That along with the one-strap outfit makes me think it might be 80s night or something, but hot is hot no matter what year it is.
The Jets have only had a cheerleading squad since 2007, but they have already established themselves as one of the hottest out there.
Armed with nothing more than some pom-poms, a tan-top, and some short shorts, these girls are as dangerous as the Jets secondary.
Leopard print can also be secret code for "trashy," but the Jacksonville Jaguars manage to turn trashy into classy.
It may have something to do with the ladies that are pulling them off. They could look good in burlap sacks. But still, we're totally giving them credit here.
To be a cheerleader, you need to be able to look upbeat even when your team is 1-6.
"Oh look, another turnover. That's okay guys! You're doing great! I believe in you. It's not like we were considered the best team in the NFL last year!"
Halloween is always an amazing time to be a football fan, because cheerleaders like to dress up in costumes. And just like any hot chick, they just grab an occupation out of a hat, add "slutty" to the beginning of it, and voila! The perfect costume.
I particularly liked this Chargers cheerleader, although it may have been an interesting conversation for families that day.
"Daddy, what's a dominatrix?"
"When you can spell it, I'll tell you."
It's cold in Denver. They don't call it Mile High Stadium for nothing, it's actually a mile above sea level. So the cheerleaders have to cheer in some pretty rough weather.
That's why I'm giving this award to the Broncos cheerleaders. Even if they have to bundle up, they still look good doing it.
My love of women in jerseys has been well documented, so I don't think it's any surprise that I was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs cheerleaders breaking out these outfits one week.
It gives us the impression that they love football, even if they think "first down" is a kind of pillow. But it's the illusion that matters.
Throughout October, the NFL was a proud sponsor of the fight against breast cancer. That meant we saw flashes of pink on coach's hats and players jerseys all month.
But the best use of pink was definitely by the cheerleaders, and nobody did it better than the Bengals.
The Falcons were close, but they already got a headband award. I can't play favorites here, this is important.
I don't know why the Texans cheerleaders all decided to dress up as sexy servicewomen, but wow am I happy they did.
If you ever need proof that America is the greatest nation in the world, look no further.
