Anaheim Ducks' James Wisniewski Suspended For Two Games

James Wisniewski is going to be suspended for the upcoming two games.
The NHL has handed down the suspension due to the hit Wisniewski laid on Shane Doan during the Ducks/Coyotes matchup on Saturday night. Doan was noticeably wobbly after the hit and returned to the bench on his own.
No penalty was called, and Doan returned to the game, where he later fought Wisniewski.
I tend to stay un-opinionated about hits and ensuing suspensions, but I'm rather upset about this one in particular.
I understand the NHL is trying to send a message to the players about head injuries, but this is not one a good message. For a defensive player to be suspended while holding his blue line and laying a solid hit on a charging player is shocking to me.
Just to clarify, I wouldn't have agreed with this suspension had Doan been hurt on the play.
Good hit, Wisniewski. Keep up the physicality.
Hopefully, this brings the team closer, uniting them against the crazy one-sided suspensions they continue to face.
