Today is a big day for Monarchs goalie Jonathan Bernier. Bernier was named the AHL Goalie of the Month today. The 21 year old from Quebec recorded 2 shutouts this month, with a .963 save percentage.

Bernier won the award previously in March, where his save percentage was .956. His notable games include October 23, where he recorded 28 of 29 saves that night. He will recieve an etched crystal reward.

There were several other inductees, but Bernier definitely earned the trophy. He has been outstanding this year, and definitely has a chance of being brought up.
