New York Giants: Outplayed and Out-Coached Yet Again

Where do you go from here?

Three weeks ago I was told by Giants fans and the writers that the Giants had an off-day when they played the Saints

An off day?

In case you forgot, Drew Brees and the boys dismantled the Giants. I didn't even write an article that week... I let sleeping dogs lie.

Two weeks ago I was told, "Don't panic, we are still 5-2," "Arizona had a better game plan," "Eli Manning had a bad day," "The refs were bad," "The Giants have a ton of injuries."

But this time, I wrote an article

This article was read by 400 people, was received very well, and inspired some great dialogue.

But now I'm downright mad. I don't want to hear about some glass-half-full, happy-go-lucky, rah-rah article. The Giants right now stink. They cannot beat a good team. Their on-field communication is downright horrible.

I will have nightmares of this play all week: Corey Webster motioning a defensive audible, changing the play, fists closed and pumping high in the air, but C.C. Brown never picking up the change and Jeremy Maclin running free across the field and down the sidelines for a touchdown after catching a beautiful Donovan McNabb pass.

How about the wimp award? Envelope please: The award goes to Terrell Thomas. Does this guy hit or tackle anyone? Please...for the love of everything pigskin, can Thomas hit somebody or make a tackle instead of looking for a free piggyback ride on the back of a receiver or tight end?

You want to blame coaching? It's a personal favorite of mine, so let's roll with it. The Giants looked clueless from the opening kickoff. No one is in the right spot, and there is STILL NO PASS RUSH! They never used a screen or play action.

The Giants let two rookies beat them, LeSean McCoy and Maclin. This is weak. On 3rd-and-12, Eli throws a bomb? What gives? For most of the fourth quarter the Giants were down by 23 points, but they continued to run Brandon Jacobs like they were holding the lead.

I tried to stick up for Chase Blackburn and Danny Clark early on in training camp, but they are looking terrible right now.

No one has a sense of urgency, and the play calling still stinks.

No creativity...nothing fantasy or flashy! They don't even execute "smash-mouth" old school football correctly.

Can you say out-coached again?

Note to Tom Coughlin: Go get secondary help. Call Rodney Harrison!

Everyone needs to stop defending the issue. The Giants miss James Butler. The Giants put all their eggs in one basket with Kenny Phillips, and Aaron Ross is soft! Ten weeks for a sore hamstring.

Can they hide the truth a little longer? The bye week is two weeks away.
