Jesse Boulerice Attacks Ryan Kesler
The 2007-2008 NHL season has only just begun, and already there have been some disgusting on-ice incidents. Wednesday's game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Vancouver Canucks provided another example of the players' lack of respect for each other.
Philadelphia's Jesse Boulerice hit Vancouver's Ryan Kesler in the face with his stick...despite the fact that the Flyers were up 7-2 at the time.
I expect and hope for a long suspension for Boulerice. These kinds of events should never take place in a hockey rink.
The NHL handed down a 20-game suspension to Steve Downie just a week ago, and the length of Boulerice's penalty should be similar to Downie's—or even to Chris Simon's suspension last season.
