Is Rafa Benitez the only manager to rely on his top class players .

The Liverpool boss seems to be continually criticised in the press and by pundits for the team relying to heavily on Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.

Can we just put this into perspective, These two players are the best in the world at what they do , Gerrard is Captain Fantastic, he is the driving force of the side, he bleeds Liverpool every time he puts the shirt on, the crowd get on their feet every time he touches the ball. Of course the team will be weakened if he is not playing.

Take Frank Lampard out of Chelsea's team for a month and see how much they miss him, When Viera missed Arsenal games they missed him terribly.

Same with Torres, if you take out a truly world class striker from a team you will be weakened, take Rooney out of United's team for a month and see how they do . They don't look like the team they were now they have lost Ronaldo.

Every team in the world relys on their top players, not just Rafa Benitez and Liverpool.

Benitez has not helped himself with the lack of depth in the squad but come on he is not the only top manager to struggle when his top players are missing,

Look at Real Madrid now, Ronaldo has missed the last four games and all of a sudden their season has hit a stumbling block and look at all the players they have bought in the summer !!!!
