Does Saurav Ganguly Deserve a Place in India's One Day Team?

Will Saurav Ganguly, one of the sweetest timers of the cricket ball, make a comeback to the national one-day side, or is it the end of road for the 'Prince of Kolkata'?

Whenever the name Ganguly is mentioned, we remember the great comeback he had after being dropped for more than a year. But will he be able to do the same now?

He might not have shined the way expected in the recent IPL, but he still recorded the second highest run score for the year 2007.

Before being dropped for the VB Series, his form during the Test and one-day matches during the last year and a half has shown that he still possesses the skill to remain at the top.

He is coming of age. Whilst his fielding standards have gone down, with the kind of consistency he is showing does he not deserve a place in the national squad?

That is what the team selectors and MS Dhoni have to decide.

No matter what there is in store for Ganguly, he has made the Indian cricket team look different and given a reason to be proud of him.
