Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is one of the world’s top young players. With 33 Erevidise goals from 34 appearances last year, you would think one of the Premierships top four would be looking to snap him up.
You may say that the Dutch League isn't up to the standard of the Premiership, and you’re right, it isn't. Dirk Kuyt is a perfect example of someone who was a quality goalscorer in the Dutch League but couldn't score the same amount of goals in the Premier League.
Unlike Dirk Kuyt though, Huntelaar has proved he can score at International level. He's only played 12 games but has scored 7 goals and he also scored 18 goals in 22 appearances at U21 Level.
He is strong in the air and is good with both feet. The Dutch have compared him to the great Marco Van Basten.
With Euro 2008 just starting, hopefully Klaas will perform and score plenty of goals. If he does perform, don't be surprised if we see him in the Premiership in the near future.
