The Philadelphia Flyers have once again been struck by the injury bug. Blair Betts, Ryan Parent, Simon Gagne and now Danny Briere have all been bit.
Sam Carchidi is reporting that Briere left practice early on Friday because of a lower-body injur, and is doubtful for Saturday afternoon's tilt with the Carolina Hurricanes. David Laliberte has been recalled from the Adirondack Phantoms.
After missing 53 games last season due to an abdominal injury, Briere was enjoying a decent start to the 2009-10 campaign, amassing seven points in ten games, including five goals.
Laliberte has six points in eight games for the Phantoms this season.
