Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting via twitter that the Philadelphia Eagles have placed linebacker Omar Gaither on injured reserve, ending his 2009 season. The Eagles also signed running back P.J. Hill.
Hill was on the New Orleans Saints practice squad, and he played with the Saints this offseason after he signed with New Orleans as an undrafted free agent. Gaither started at middle linebacker before the injury.
Hill ran for 1,000 yards in all three seasons he spent at Wisconsin, only former first round pick Ron Dayne can match that. Hill is second in Wisconsin's all time rushing yards ans rushing touchdowns only to Ron Dayne.
