Memo to LeBron James: Forget Cleveland and New York, Join the Lakers

It might just be me, but ever since the Chicago Bulls dynasty came to an end in the late 1990s, the NBA just hasn't been the same.

The Kobe Bryants and LeBron Jameses of the world have still made the league watchable, but something's missing.

And there is one solution that would add a little "umph" to the league: LeBron in a Lakers uniform.

I know, I know, LeBron isn't going to leave his Cleveland Cavaliers next summer when he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Or he's surely not going to sign with the New York Knicks, right?

Well, actually we don't know the answer to that for sure since Mr. James has never came out and publicly stated what his intentions are.

So with that being said, LeBron heading to the Lakers could be a possibility. Of course a very slim possibility.

Why would he want go to L.A. and take the back seat to Kobe? Simple, to win a championship.

Let's face it, he's never going to win a ring in Cleveland. Adding Shaquille O'Neal will prove to be a good move for the Cavs, however it just won't be enough to lift them past Boston, the Lakers, or San Antonio.

Honestly, the addition of Shaq probably won't be able to get the Cavs past Orlando or Denver either.

So just think about it: Kobe and LeBron playing on the same team. That's sure to boost the ratings.

They would likely go down as one of the greatest dynamic duos in league history. Magic Johnson-Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Michael Jordan-Scottie Pippen, and then Kobe Bryant-LeBron James.

The Lakers would likely emerge as the next NBA dynasty pulling off three or four titles in a row.

GM Mitch Kupchak could surround the two superstars with literally any role player and they would still be able to win it all.

The Lakers would have to work out some kind of sign-and trade deal to acquire LeBron's services, but I'm sure they could pull something off.

Well, we all know that LeBron will never choose to join Kobe's team. He wants to win a ring as "The Man." And hopefully he accomplishes that soon.
