Today I read an article regarding a pretty good ex-player in the NBA for 12 years.

The article was about Antoine Walker, and his financial situation was posted on Yahoo for all to see. As a sports fan I read this article just about the facts. The facts are that he did his family a solid after he “made it”.

And yes, I understand why. His family made it possible for him to make it big. It was all payback for them, but and this is a big BUTT $110,000,000 worth. That is one HUNDRED TEN MILLION. After taxes Yahoo reports somewhere around 60-65 million .

Get the H E double hockey sticks out of here. Are you kidding? I have to sit back and ask myself, how do you blow that kind of money even if it is his family. His mother would have appreciated a nice CONDO more so then a mansion.

How does something like this happen to a VERY RICH MAN? There is only one answer ARROGANCE! It is as simple as that. You can make any excuses for him you want, but it is a show off mentality that people get when they have nothing and get something at an abundance. Over spending "look at me, look what I have" mentality. Reminds of a few NFL Wide Receivers.

I can not in good faith see what I do for my family, and see what the man made in his life playing basketball, and feel sorry for him. I don’t feel bad for anyone such as Antoine Walker who did it to himself. I just don’t.

So now he can feel what it is like to have the collectors calling, and calling.

{Collector} “Is This Mr. Walker?”

{Mr. Walker} “Speaking”

{Collector} “Mr. Walker I am calling reference to your outstanding account. We were wondering…how will you be paying this 4 Million debt you owe “We Screwed You Over Bank” Mr. Walker?”

{Mr. Walker} “I can only afford $25.00 a month. I am retired, and I am on a fixed income.”

{Collector} “I am sorry Mr. Walker that is not going to be enough to make arrangements here in our offices…Have you considered asking a family member or a friend for the 4 million you owe?”

{Mr. Walker} “Are you crazy? You think I know Tiger Woods?”

{Collector} Well how about showing some good faith to “We Screwed You Over Bank”, and turn over that very nice NBA Championship ring we saw you with at the 2009 Espy Awards, or did you get anthing for our championship at Kentucky?”.

{Mr. Walker}“NAAAA MAN...I can’t do that.”

{Collector} “Well Mr. Walker we are going to need something to show you are serious about repaying this debt…I mean we know how hard it can be for an EX-Basketball player who lived the highlife now it seems on other people’s back (tax payers when you file Bankruptcy), and knowing you may not even be able to get a job at McDonalds, seeing how July 15, 2009, you charged with three felony counts of writing bad checks related to gambling debts you had incurred at three Las Vegas casinos. And you were arrested on July 15 at Harrah's Casino in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Did you have fun there Mr. Walker? Never mind but it looks like the charges stemmed from over $800,000 in gambling debts you ran up in Tahoe to play in the American Century Celebrity Golf Classic the following day. Do think that is fair to “We Screwed You Over Bank” Mr. Walker? This just doesn’t seem right wouldn’t you say Mr. Walker?"

All I (Sonny Clark) have to say is welcome to the real world Mr. Walker, and no you can not write a check for that Mr. Walker seems like we have a check here still outstanding last time you were with us. Hope you had fun for the last 12 years.

And no, I can’t float you a loan. You have had more then I ever will in my lifetime. Hope you actually took college seriously. Ohhh wait….did you even graduate? NO NO NO you went out after your sophomore season. I wonder what you get paid for a 2 year ASSociate degree in “BASKET Weaving” they will be garnishing your wages for?
