In T.I.'s song, Swagger Like us, T.I., Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne, and Kanye West verbally proclaim their coolness in an ode to the swagger mentality.

For those of you unfamililar, swagger is an attitude that is shown in every facet of your everyday life. It's in your speech, your stride, and the way you carry yourself.

The worlds of hip-hop and the NBA have always intersected, and the swagger movement is a natural marriage of the two.

You have stars like Lebron James, who counts Jay-Z as one of his friends, and you have the numerous failed attempts by basketball players to cross-over into the hip-hop genre.

Well what they failed to accomplish on the microphone, they have more than made up with their on court personas.

Some players act cool and some players embody it. In the following pages I will show you the players who exude swagger in their very being.

Either you possess swagger or you don't, there is no in-between. Halfway swagger is like being halfway cool, and we all have problems with people like that.

So sit back and relax while I take you on a tour that's reserved for the cool folks only. Come with me as we do like Soulja Boy and Turn Our Swag On.

No. 10- Josh Smith

If Josh Smith's game were as refined as his swagger, then he would be a perennial all-star.

As this picture shows, Smith is cool enough to hold court with the king of swagger himself. To bad that same bravado doesn't translate on the court.

Or maybe it does, because nothing seems to make Smith feel better than posing for the camera, even if it's on a missed dunk.

I love the athleticism of Smith, and I love his energy, but until he pays as much time to his game as he does his image, then he's all swagger and no substance.

No. 9- Shaquille O'Neal

LAS VEGAS - AUGUST 18: Shaquille O' Neal of the Cleveland Cavaliers talks as he tapes a segment with boxer Oscar De La Hoya for the new ABC television series 'Shaq Vs.' at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino August 18, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rea

Shaq's game may have diminished but his persona continues to flourish. He is probably the coolest Seven-footer that we know.

His antics are legendary, and he has even tried his hand as a rapper, a venture I'm more than happy he ended.

It can't be denied that O'Neal has always had a smooth, laid back personality, and a sound-byte ready for anyone willing to listen.

One of his many monikers happens to be the "Big Smooth", and that pretty much sums it up.

No. 8- Chauncey Billups

DENVER - MAY 29: Chauncey Billups #7 of the Denver Nuggets passes the ball in Game Six of the Western Conference Finals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs against the Los Angeles Lakers at Pepsi Center on May 29, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. NOTE TO USER: User ex

Billups may not possess the same off court swagger as some of his compadres, but on the court it oozes out of his skin.

Chauncey is simply as smooth as they come, and that same confidence is apparent everytime he takes the court.

You can take the three C's, calm, cool, and collected and add Chauncey to it and you wouldn't miss a beat.

Billups lets his swagger shine on the hardwood and when in rhythm, he is one of the best there is.

No. 7- Chris Paul

DENVER - APRIL 29: Chris Paul #3 of the New Orleans Hornets awaits action against the Denver Nuggets in Game Five of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at Pepsi Center on April 29, 2009 in Denver, Colorado. The Nuggets defe

Chris Paul is probably who most young point guards strive to emulate. Paul is one of the smoothest players with the ball in his hands, that this game has ever seen.

His whirling spins, sick cross-overs, and tear-drop shots leaves crowds gasping, and fans drooling.

Paul has an aura about him, and the color is the color of confidence. Paul feels he is the best point guard in the game, and his skills speak volumes.

Paul's cool confidence and swagger-endowed game makes him a must-see at every opportunity.

No. 6- Brandon Roy

HOUSTON - APRIL 30: Guard Brandon Roy #7 of the Portland Trail Blazers in Game Six of the Western Conference Quarterfinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at Toyota Center on April 30, 2009 in Houston, Texas. NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges and ag

Brandon Roy's swagger is a little different, because he's not as vocal as some of the other members of this list, but it's refreshing because he lets his game speak for itself.

His quiet confidence is what carries the young Blazers, and for proof just look at how they defer to him.

Roy commands attention and he doesn't have to utter a word. The way his teammates rely on him in pressure situations is a sign of ultimate swag.

No. 5- LeBron James

CLEVELAND - OCTOBER 27: LeBron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers reacts during the season opener against the Boston Celtics at Quicken Loans Arena on October 27, 2009 in Cleveland, Ohio. NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges and agrees that, by d

The NBA's resident golden boy is a connoisseur of the swagger movement. He hangs out with stars, he vogues for the cameras, and his on-court gesture suggest swagger unlimited.

James has the statistics, the skills and the game and if he could acquire some NBA hardware his swag meter would erupt through the stratosphere.

Right now he may just have to settle for the label of "King James", and for LeBron, that may suit him just fine.

Because if the Cavs opener is any indication, then James might not be acquiring that hardware anytime soon.

No. 4- Paul Pierce

CLEVELAND - OCTOBER 27: Paul Pierce #34 of the Boston Celtics moves the ball to the basket during the season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena on October 27, 2009 in Cleveland, Ohio. NOTE TO USER: User expressly acknowledges

Paul Pierce's swagger was on full display in the Celtic's season opener against the Cavaliers.

He single-handedly put the game away in the fourth quarter with big shot after big shot. His confidence extends to the microphone, where he has repeatedly said that the Celtics are the team to beat.
He served notice to LeBron James that he wasn't the only star on the court Tuesday, as his ability took over, and his jump-shot sealed the game.

Although he would gladly tell you himself, I will say it for him. James may be the bigger talent, but on this night it was Pierce's swagger that reigned supreme.

No. 3- Gilbert Arenas

DALLAS - OCTOBER 27: Guard Gilbert Arenas #0 of the Washington Wizards is fouled by Jose Juan Barea #11 of the Dallas Mavericks during the season opener on October 27, 2009 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. NOTE TO USER: User expressly ackno

It was almost as if he had never been gone. Gilbert Arenas put to rest the questions about his health, and served up a 29 point, swagger-laced gem.

Arenas refused to speak to the media afterwards, but he didn't have too, because he left his statements on the court.

After nearly two years away from the game Arenas strolled into Dallas and was the best player on the court.

I am one that doubted Arenas' ability to get back to where he was, and he has made a believer out of me. Touche

No. 2- Dwayne Wade

LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 07: Miami Heats' Dwyane Wade accepts an award onstage at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's 24th Annual Sports Spectacular at the Century Plaza Hotel on June 7, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevin Winter/Getty Images)

Early in his career, Dwayne Wade was content to keep quiet and stay out of the spotlight, but as his skills garnered recognition, the enormity of his game wouldn't allow it.

Seems like he may have took a few pointers from ex-teammate Shaquille O'Neal, because now his swag is on display for all to see.

You could almost witness the transformation from quiet and laid-back, to swagger with an attitude.

Wade has flourished in the sun of Miami, and his game and swagger rank among the league's best.

No. 1- Kobe Bryant

LOS ANGELES, CA - OCTOBER 27: Kobe Bryant #24 of the Los Angeles Lakers celebrates during the season opening game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center on October 27, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. The Lakers won 99-92. NOTE TO USER: Use

Kobe Bryant may be the living definition of extraordinary swag. Bryant exudes cool, and his confidence is off the charts.

Kobe knows he's the best and that is apparent in his gait, his glare, and his game.

He has the championships to back up his swagger, and has his Laker team poised on the brink of a repeat.

He has the knowledge that no conversation about the game's best is relevant without him, and he occupies the top of this list as the "King Of Swag".
