According to Bob McKenzie, the Philadelphia Flyers have placed defenseman Randy Jones on re-entry waivers.

Jones, who was placed on waivers by the Flyers on Sept. 26, has two assists and is a plus-two while playing for the Adirondack Phantoms.

This move likely means that Simon Gagne will be headed to the long-term injury reserve, and Jones will rejoin the Flyers to add some defensive depth. If Jones should not clear re-entry, the Flyers will split his $2.75 million salary for this season.
