Eagles RB Brian Westbrook left Monday night’s game with a concussion. Concussions are a very dangerous thing. Given the short week to prepare, it is very unlikely Westbrook will recover enough to play this Sunday versus the Giants. This opens the door for Eagles RB LeSean McCoy to steal Westbrook’s job and have a big game. McCoy owners have been waiting for this week.

 

The Giants, on paper, look to be a difficult matchup. This is not the case. The Giants have allowed an average of 111.2 all-purpose yards a game and a little over a touchdown per game this season, but their defense is reeling over the last three weeks. They have given up similar all-purpose yards at 107.7. Unfortunately, they have allowed seven of their nine touchdowns to running backs in the last three weeks.

 

The Giants will bring the pressure and hurry Donovan McNabb, but he will have the option to check down to McCoy much as he would with Westbrook. If you own McCoy, start him. You will need to make a final check on Sunday that Westbrook will not play. I doubt that he will. Finally, did I mention the Eagles are at home? The home crowd will help the Eagles offense overcome the Giants defense...
