Over the years, WWE has had some outrages gimmicks. Some are so bad they deserve there own list to honor or make fun of them.

So I wanted to pick 20 of the ones I thought where the worst in WWE history. You can agree or disagree on the list or think of some of your own so enjoy and
Happy Halloween to all.

20. Battle Kat

Most fans know him as Brady Boone but in 1990 Boone became Battle Kat, a fearsome ahh ... cat. He got a small push in the WWF, but this "Kat" didn't have nine lives and was soon gone.

19. TL Hoppper

Dusty Rhodes may have been a son of a plumber, but this guy was a plumber in 1996.

"Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony was TL Hopper, along with his trusty plunger Betsy, he almost plunged the WWF straight down the drain. (Or was WCW doing that?)

18. Outback Jack

Before the steak house, Peter Stilsbury was Outback Jack in 1986.

He was mainly a jobber in the WWF but most fans will always remember him as ... well, maybe nothing.

17. Saba Simba

Display_image

In 1990, even Tony Atlas was forced into a dumb gimmick by Vince McMahon as Saba Simba.

Atlas played a warrior of a Ugandan tribe, but the gimmick was unpopular and considered racist.

16. Tugboat

Display_image

In 1990, Fred Ottman was Tugboat. The friendly Tugger would befriend Hulk Hogan and help him in his feud with Earthquake and Dino Bravo.

But then, like every teammate of Hogan's, he would turn his back on him and join Earthquake against Hogan.

15. The Berzerker

Whether he was Nord the Barbarian, Yukon John, or The Berzerker, John Nord basically played the same character.

In 1991, The Berzerker shouted "Huss! Huss!" in the WWF.

14. Crush

Display_image

In 1992 Brian Adams played Crush. Crush was just some surfer dude, really. At least he was kinda cool as Demolition Crush.

13. Salvatore Sincere

Display_image

In 1996 Tom Brandi played Salvatore Sincere, a stereotypical Italian/Mafioso...a kind of Razor Ramon rip off.

Sir, I know Razor Ramon, and you're no Razor Ramon.

12. Duke "The Dumpster" Droese

Display_image

In 1994 Mike Droese was Duke The Dumpster Droese, a tough garbage man, who was going to "take out the trash" in the WWF.

Instead, the WWF trashed him.

11. The Boogeyman

Display_image

Marty Wright was tough enough for the WWE in 2005, as The Boogeyman.

While he never scared anyone, everyone got a laugh or two from his act.

10. The Brooklyn Brawler

Default_display_image

Steve Lombardi started in the WWF in 1983, but in 1989 he became The Brooklyn Brawler, a tough New York hood.

While one has to respect Lombardi's years of service in the WWE, the gimmick was pretty bad.

9. The Goon

Default_display_image

Barney Irwin, better known to his fans as Wild Bill Irwin, became The Goon in 1995.

It was said he was kicked out of every league he ever participated in. That included the WWF.

8. The Sultan

Default_display_image

Before dancing with Too Cool, Solofa Fatu (Rikishi) was The Sultan, a stereotypical “Middle Eastern," complete with a face mask to hide who was playing the gimmick.

The Sultan's tongue was removed...thus he never spoke.

7. Papa Shango

Before The Godfather made pimp'n easy, Charles Wright was Papa Shango.

A voodoo practitioner patterned on the character Baron Samedi from the Bond film "Live and Let Die," and the only spell he cast was bad.

6. The Red Rooster

Default_display_image

In 1988 Terry Taylor went to the WWF and The Red Rooster was born.

Not even Colonel Sanders would want this rooster, and soon the WWF didn't either.

5. Friar Ferguson

Default_display_image

Mike Shaw had many gimmicks, but in 1993, he became Friar Ferguson.

The character was soon abandoned due to negative feedback from the Catholic Church (thank God for that).

4. Giant Gonzalez

Default_display_image

Before the The Great Khali in 1993, Jorge González played the Giant Gonzalez, wearing a full-body suit that featured airbrushed muscles with bushy hair attached. Just like Khali, you couldn't understand a word he said.

3. Issac Yankem DDS

Default_display_image

Before The Big Red Machine, Glenn Jacobs (Kane) was Issac Yankem, DDS.

In 1993, he played Lawler's private dentist, but he'd get pulled later only to become the fake Diesel and later Kane.

2. Repo Man

Display_image

After wrestling as Demolition Smash, Barry Darsow became the Repo Man. He was a ubiquitous, sneaky heel character who delighted in repossessing items.

The WWE would later repossess the Repo Man character and show Darsow the door.

1. Doink The Clown

Display_image

Matt Osborne was the original Doink The Clown, but many have played this evil clown since.

Doink The Clown is perhaps the worst gimmick in the history of wrestling, but that can be debated.
