The University of Minnesota announced this afternoon that Senior Eric Decker will miss the rest of the regular season with an injury to his foot. Coach Brewster expressed optimism that Decker may be "back for a bowl game." Decker, however, may need surgery to fix the arch in his foot and if it is necessary his college football career is likely over.

Decker was recently named a semi-finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award given to the most outstanding college receiver and the Offensive Big Ten player of the first half of the season. Coach Brewster in noting the loss of Decker said, "I think he's the best wide receiver in college football, period. You know, it's tough to replace a guy like that."
