Dany Heatley was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers 2nd overall in the 2000 NHL Draft. Heatley is from West Germany. Internationally Danny has represented Team Canada in six world championships, one olympic and one world Cup, as well as two World Junior championships . In 2008, he surpassed Marcel Dionne as Canada's all time leader in goals and Steve Yzerman as the all time leader in points for the world championships. At the end of the 08-09 season Heatley asked for a trade. A deal was in place to send Heatley to the Edmonton Oilers on June 30th , but Dany refused to waive his no trade clause. On September 12th, he was dealt to the San Jose Sharks in return for Milan Michalek, Jonathan Cheeckoo and a second round draft pick in 2010. Dany was born in Germany but when he was young his family moved to Calgary, Canada. Playing Minor hockey in the Alberta Midget league for the Calgary Buffaloes, Heatley tailed 81 points in 36 games in 1997 to earn the Harry Allen memorial trophy as the leagues top scorer. He went on to lead the Buffaloes to the Bronze medal in 1998 Air Canada Cup, where he finished as both top scorer and tournament MVP. Heatley made his NHL debut with the Thrashers in 01-02, leading all rookies points (67) and assists  (41) and was second in goal scoring (26) behind teammate Ilya Kovalchuk. Dany has been voted to the All star game 5 times in his career. Heatley was selected to be on the cover of NHL 04, however due to the fallout from Dany's accident shortly afterwards , EA switched the cover photo to Joe Sakic, although many copies  were shipped and already bought with his photo on the cover. Heatley has an endorsement deal with Easton Hockey, and now wears Easton equipment during games.

Sidney Crosby was the 1st overall pick in the 2005 NHL draft. Crosby drafted by the Penguins out of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey league first overall after back-to-back CHL player of the year awards and leading his club to the memorial cup during the two year major junior career with the Rimouski Oceanic. In his first season in the NHL he finished sixth in in scoring with 102 points (39 goals, 63 assists). By his second season he led the NHL with 120 points, 36 goals and 84 assists. After losing to the Detroit Red Wings in the 2008 Stanley Cup, Crosby won his first Cup in 09, becoming the youngest captain in NHL history to win the Championship. Sidney was the youngest player in History to win the Art Ross trophy. In his second season Crosby built on his rookie success. On October 28, 2006 Crosby scored his first NHL Hat trick in an 8-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. His success against the Flyers continued as just over six weeks later, on December 13, he recorded a first six point game of his career (one goal, five assists). He was named their team captain on May, 31 2007.
