After losing to Oklahoma State, the Georgia Bulldogs became an afterthought in the world of college football. Fans across the Bulldog Nation watched in horror as the "Cardiac Dawgs" pulled off three straight victories in exhilarating fashion. Then we watched as the Dawgs lost to LSU at the hands of SEC officials and to Tennessee which could be summed up in two words: "total collapse".

Last week, the Dawgs had their best showing of the year, by beating Vanderbilt 34-10 to take their record back over .500.

As most of the Bulldawg Nation would agree, this off-week could not have come at a better time for the team or the fans.

From the team's perspective, this off-week allows the players to heal and rest after a brutal six-game stretch that included three Top 25 teams, and three heart-breaking losses.

From the fans perspective, it gives us a couple weeks to let our blood pressure return to normal and remember that this season isn't over yet.

Sitting at 4-3, the 2009 edition of the Georgia Bulldogs have faced many obstacles. In a week, they will truly define their season when they face the No. 1 team in the country, Florida.

I believe that this team has the players and the head coach to pull one of the biggest upsets in Georgia football history. The players will be prepared as best as they can be for this game, and if history tells us anything, the Bulldogs are about to shock the nation.

Finishing strong has become a characteristic of Mark Richt's Georgia Bulldogs.

In 2006, the Dawgs were 6-4 and claimed two embarrassing losses to Kentucky and Vanderbilt. However, the Bulldogs stormed back and won three straight contests against ranked opponents and finished the season 9-4.

In 2007, the Bulldogs started the season 4-2, but after beating Vanderbilt 20-17 on a last second field goal, the Bulldogs never looked back and finished the season 11-2 as the second ranked team in the country.

Am I saying that the Bulldogs will run the table and end up 10-3? No.

Am I saying that it is possible? Of course.

This article is meant to be a challenge to all of Bulldog Nation. If your blood doesn't run red and black you might as well not even read this because you will never understand the love that we have for this team and this university.

Now is the time to play Georgia football! It's time to let the Junkyard Dawgs loose! We have nothing to lose, and this team is not going to let this 4-3 record define our season!

Let's rally around our beloved team Bulldawg Nation. Win or Lose, this season will define us as a fan-base more than it will define our program. We are going to storm into Jacksonville with our heads held high, and we are going to give Tim Tebow and company a fight they will never forget!

GOOOOOOOOOOOO DAWGS! SIC EM!
