Los Angeles Dodgers Need To Go Fishing for Marlin

NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 28: Dan Uggla #6 the Florida Marlins makes an off balance throw to get Marlon Anderson of the New York Mets in the eighth inning during the last regular season baseball game ever played in Shea Stadium on September 28, 2008 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City. Is there a better fit out there for the Dodgers than Dan Uggla?

There is no reason to believe that the Marlins will not be shopping him around over the winter. He got into a well publicised argument with the teams star Hanley Ramirez during the regular season, so guess who is leaving town?

The Marlins always jump at the opportunity to shed salary and the Dodgers have enough prospects to get the deal done.

Now we all realise that Uggla will not be winning any batting titles anytime soon but the power and run production is legit and consistent. If the Dodgers can repeat last years OBP numbers, the line up will be able to support the strikeout prone Uggla.
