First off, I want to say that it is wayyyyyyy to early in the season to throw Huet in the minors. He is still going to get his chance to find his game, but if he doesn't, and the Hawks can’t find a trading partner, Rockford is a good option. Yes they will still be paying his contract, but it doesn’t count against the cap. 5 million is a lot to pay a minor league goalie but Tallon may have left us with no decision. If he continues to play like he has, no one in the league will think about taking him and his huge salary. And with us needing to sign Toews, Kane, and Keith, this may be the only option to free up a large amount of space on the cap without trading away Sharp, Barker, Buff, or Versteeg.
