After Friday morning’s skate, Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville indicated that he saw good progress from both Captain Jonathan Toews and Brent Seabrook from their “upper body injuries,” and that both will be game-time decisions for Saturday night’s game against the Nashville Predators in Chicago.

Quenneville also indicated that both players were doing well enough that any absence from the two would be short. Toews got lit up by Willie Mitchell on Wednesday, and Seabrook got kicked in the head.

Jordan Hendry saw his first game action of the season in Wednesday’s loss to Vancouver, and would likely take Seabrook’s place on the blue line if Quenneville felt he needed the night off. Brent Sopel was a healthy scratch on Wednesday and would likely return as well.

Newly acquired center/wing Andrew Ebbett could step into the circle and take some faceoffs if Toews couldn’t go. Ebbett made his Blackhawks debut on Wednesday evening after being claimed off waivers from Anaheim.
