With all the Buck of a Winning horse. The phillies Put their all into this race and it paid off for them. For 2 years running they put on quite a show. Now as a Woman from Brooklyn, it gives me no pleasure to announce the demise of the Dodgers Playoff run. But They Got far in their travels. But it Was The Phillies Who would prevail.
So to My dearly departed Dad "Toast to your fine town of Pennsylvania." Indeed, What a fine town it is! And in Particular, Philly-The city of brotherly love. Go figure. the town of love would be known for turning out boxers. An oxymoron if there ever was one. Cause they do both. And they do it well!
This phillies team has become a force to be reckoned with. Somewhere along the line they were considered ready to put out to pasture. Not able to win a world series. Then Last Year they took control of things and Became World series Champions. And are going to The show again. This is no easy task. it is a feat that many clubs have never experienced at all. Or haven't experienced it in a long time.
Ryan Howard has taken on Superhero status in this series and really all season long! And has lead this team to new heights. with his trusty right arm Jimmy Rollins. Who did his Job when it was needed! And then the others, like Werth, Utley, Lackey, Hamels, etc. it was a team effort.
Now they stand ready to go into the World Series! The only Question is who will face, the team to Beat,The World Series Champions?
