This is the team I have hand picked to show you who the best players in the nation have been to this point in the season on the offensive side of the football.
These guys are the best of the best, some you have seen, and some you may have not seen.
The All-Star team is mainly skill players which includes tight ends and fullbacks. Sorry linemen, but know this none of these guys would be on this team if it weren't for you guys, especially the running backs. So you are all All-Stars in my book.
Quarterbacks
QB #1: Case Keenum-Houston Cougars
Keenum has not only led the nation in passing yards and touchdowns, but he has led his team to a 5-1 record including a win over Oklahoma State in Stillwater, and a #17 spot in the rankings.
QB#2: Jimmy Clausen-Notre Dame Fighting Irish
You can question this pick all you want, but from watching Clausen this year i believe he has been one of the best. He has thrown for over 1,800 yards and 14 touchdowns. His most impressive stat though is that he has thrown only 2 interceptions.
QB#3: Kellen Moore-Boise St. Broncos
With Boise St.'s lack of a schedule this is a tough pick, but Moore has really been almost perfect this year. He has completed nearly 70% of his passes and has a quarterback rating of 170.1. He has also thrown for 16 touchdowns.
Running Backs
RB#1: Ryan Matthews-Fresno St. Bulldogs
Matthews lit up Boise St. earlier in the season and has had a breakout year ever since. He only has 7 touchdowns but with 974 yards on 131 carries he has been the best in the nation. He averages 7.4 yards a carry as well.
RB#2: Ryan Williams-Virginia Tech Hokies
Williams has had the most surprising year of all, a kid who was not even supposed to start has shocked the ACC run defenses. With ten touchdowns and 834 yards he leads the ACC in both categories.
RB#3: Dion Lewis-Pittsburgh Panthers
The small freshman with a lot of speed has run past Big East defenders this year. He is one of the three running backs to rush for over 900 yards so far and he has crossed the goal line 9 times.
RB#4: Mark Ingram-Alabama Crimson Tide
Last but not least, Ingram, the sophomore, has scored 8 times this year. He is also the last of three running backs in America to rush for over 900 yards. Ingram has given the Tide the boost it needed after the loss of Glenn Coffee and he has been placed on many Heisman lists.
Wide Receivers
WR#1: Freddie Barnes-Bowling Green Falcons
If you haven't seen or heard of this kid yet you better watch out for him. Barnes has 85 receptions this year, the next best 54. He has surpassed the 800 yard mark already and has games with receptions of 15, 22, and 17. Three times he has had over 150 yards as well this season.
WR#2: Golden Tate-Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Let's just say Jimmy Clausen would be no where without Golden Tate, and Michael Floyd who won't be making this list only due to injury. On just 41 catches Tate has eclipsed the 700 yard mark and has also made his way into being one of the top wideouts in the nation.
WR#3: Marshawn Gilyard-Cincinatti Bearcats
His stats may not be unbelievable, but Gilyard also does something that not every wideout does, and that is return kicks. Gilyard has shown some unbelievable speed and does have 7 touchdowns which is second in the nation. Seeing him up close against Rutgers really showed me what he is capable of and that is some big things.
WR#4: Jordan Shipley-Texas Longhorns
Another guy who also returns kicks and has excellent speed. Like last year Shipley as shown that he is one of the best there is. He has caught 51 passes for over 600 yards, but only has 3 touchdowns.

Fullbacks
FB#1: Jonathan Dwyer-Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Althought many peg Dwyer as a running back, in that offense he is a fullback. So that easily makes him the best in the nation and the only one to rush for over 500 yards and score 5 touchdowns.
FB#2: Jared Tew-Air Force Falcons
Tew, whose team runs a similar offense to that of Georgia Tech's, has carried the ball 119 times this year for 422 yards. He is second in yards and touchdowns only to Dwyer at the fullback position.
Tight Ends
TE#1: Dennis Pitta-Brigham Young Cougars
Pitta is the only tight end in the top 50 for receiving yards among all receivers in the nation. With Max Hall at QB Pitta is one of his favorite targets, Pitta has 34 catches and 5 touchdowns.
TE#2: Aaron Hernandez-Florida Gators
The Gators tight end has been a big target for Tim Tebow this year. He has 360 yards receiving and averages 12.9 yards a catch.
TE#3: Dorin Dickerson-Pittsburgh Panthers
Dickerson is tied for first in the nation among all receivers in touchdowns. He has been a huge target in the red zone this year and has had 274 receiving yards.
