After their first 2-0 home win against Derby, Middelsbrough have decided to surprisingly sack Gareth Southgate the same night.

Chairmen Steve Gibson said "This is the most dificult I've had to make in the whole time I've been in football"

This comes as a somewhat surprising decision, Middelsbrough are fourth in table and were promotion hope-fulls. Many people thought that Southgate was the man to lead Middelsbrough to promotion but obviously Steve Gibson didn't.
