I had a professor that used to say, "If you are not going to contribute anything relevant to the conversation, why waste the energy of opening your mouth?"

It seemed like good advice then, and I can think of a few NBA Players that could benefit from it's use, it's not like they're going to say anything profound anyway.

The NBA parallels our everyday world, in the fact that we have become a nation of sound bytes.

The importance of statements, and their relevance to the game, is crushed beneath a flood of outrageousness, that is either pointless or shallow.

The fact that we, as fans, hang onto their drivel, and then dispense it as news offers a glimpse of us as a society.

There are some players who are less tolerable than others, and I have done my best to assemble a worthy list. I'm sure that all will not agree, and I'm fine with that.

I promise not to stage a press conference to voice my displeasure with your comments. Let me know how you feel, and please feel free to offer your competing candidates, for this dubious honor.
