After the beat down in New York i didnt even allow myself to imagine that the Raiders would come out and play like they did against the Eagles. All Raiders fans in favor of paying for first class tickets to have Antonio Pierce come and speak before games get back at me. When I first heard his comments about how it was like playing a scrimmage against the team i loved i thought the team reached a new low. But instead of sulking and thorwing in the towel they actually came out and played with a fire that hasnt been seen since week 1. Russell didnt look like a bust at all. One of his 2 int's wasnt his fault and he actually did a 360 to juke a defender for a first down. The best player on offense for the past couple of years has been Zach Miller by far. Al make us happy and throw the bank at this kid he deserves it. Louis Murphy continues to shine as a rookie. Has he had his problems with drop passes yeah but the kid gets it. The blocks he made for Miller down field show that. The defense was the biggest surprise. The packages thrown at Mcnabb I havent seen here in Oakland in a long time. I loved it. Is this a win that the team can build on ? We can all hope so and the first team up is the Jets who suffered a big loss with Jenkins going down. If Gallery and Chaz are able to go and the defense plays like they did against the Eagles then Jets can expect a hard fought game. Also did anyone else see the pigeon flying down with the Raiders on the kickoff ? Maybe yesterday was just meant to be.
