It was a big weekend in Serie A after the international break, with some great matches and surprising results.

Inter destroyed Genoa 5-0 at Marassi, thus earning a solitary leading spot for the first time this season.

Juventus and Fiorentina shared the points in a 1-1 draw, after a tough match under the cold rain of Torino.

Milan managed their first win in a month after a spectacular match against Roma with a little help from their Brazilian superstars and from referee Rosetti.

And now, it's time to find out what's hot and what's not in Serie A this week.

Hot: Ronaldinho

A vintage performance from the 2005 FIFA World Player.

Ronaldinho scored a penalty kick and assisted Pato for the winner with a wonderful long pass, while showing some flashes of his old magic.

If Dinho can keep the right attitude and a decent level of fitness, he can still be one of Serie A's top players.

Hot: Giampaolo Pazzini

Former Fiorentina striker Giampaolo Pazzini couldn't score to save his life while wearing a Viola shirt. His infamous European tally for the Gigliati says 0 goals in 14 matches.

Since his move to Sampdoria, "il Pazzo" has been in amazing form, scoring tons of goals in every possible way.

Pazzini was brilliant in the start of this season, too, being amongst the league top scorers with five goals in eight matches.

After yesterday's goal against Lazio, it seemed the only way to prevent him from scoring again was knocking him out, and that's what Lazio keeper Muslera actually did, breaking Pazzini's nose while trying to punch the ball away.

By the way, it worked.

Hot: Juan Manuel Vargas

Last week, Peruvian winger Vargas was probably the best player on the field in the dramatic South American clash against Argentina, almost preventing the Albiceleste to qualify for the 2010 World Cup

Then, he played the full 90 minutes in a 1-0 win for Peru against Bolivia.

Then, after just three days and a "quick" intercontinental flight, el loco Vargas was starting for the Viola in Serie A big match Juventus-Fiorentina.

Supposedly fatigued, Vargas displayed another Man of the Match performance, scoring the opener in a 1-1 draw while dominating the left wing once again.

Not: Thiago Silva

Brazilian centre back Thiago Silva set up Ménez for the first goal with a lovely through pass, then he worked well with the French attacker as their partnership clearly won a penalty for Roma, though the referee didn't whistle.

Sounds like a pretty good game for Silva, but the problem is he was supposed to play for Milan, not for Roma.

Not: Marco Amelia

Genoa suffered a shocking 5-0 defeat against Inter at Marassi, as the Nerazzurri dominated every aspect of the game for the full 90 minutes.

You can't really blame the keeper for such a poor team performance, but Amelia conceded an incredible 50-yard volley goal straight after his own goal kick, courtesy of Dejan Stankovic.

Not: Felipe Melo

Hot tempered Felipe Melo had his breakthrough season last year with Fiorentina.

He earned international status and is now a starter for the Brazilian national team, while Serie A giants Juventus were happy to spend 25 million euros to purchase him from their arch rivals last summer.

After a promising start with the Bianconeri, Melo has shown inconsistent form since mid-September, including a poor performance against Fiorentina during the last weekend.
