60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and 2000's, are the decades of which Pro Wrestling began to take notice. Favorites, least Favorites, great wrestlers, terrible wrestlers have all been a part of are society known as wrestling.
Knowing many people all have diffrent opinions, and many diffrent intrests. But today we focus on the dominate wrestler of each decade. Enjoy!
60's Dominate Wrestler- Bruno Sammartino
If you watched WWF, you've must of heard of the name Bruno Sammartino. Bruno was Vincent J. McMahon's idea of a real wrestler. Bruno held the WWF Championship for over three years, and over 1,000 days. Bruno is considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and has yet been inducted to The WWE Hall Of Fame. Bruno was truly a wrestler, and in the early 80's a new Sammartino was brought into the wrsetling world his son David Sammartino. David never got his big break in wrestling like his famous father did, but yes Bruno Sammartion was the most dominate wrestler of the 60's.
70's Dominate Wrestler- Lou Thesz
When you search the Seventee's dictonary and look up dominate Lou Thesz's face is there. Lou Thesz never wrsetled for the Big Leagues WWF, but wrestled for another amazing promotion NWA.
Thesz had a very succesful rain in NWA. But Thesz didn't just wrestle for the NWA, he wrestled all over the world. Thesz has held so many titles all over the world, and is recongnized by all wrestling company's around the world for his loyal career with wrestling everywhere.
80's Dominate Wrestler- Sting
Sting was... is the most popular wrestler ever. A side from that he was also an amazing athlete who could really wrestle.
He has been wrestling for 30 plus years, and has left us speechless every time. Sting currently wrestling for TNA, has held The Word Title There. Sting has held so many titles you can't even count. So the dominate Wrestler of the 80's is indeed Sting.
90's Dominate Wrestler- Bret The Hitman Hart
Bret Hart was The WWF in the 90's. Bret Hart has held about 7 world titles, in the 90's that has to say something. Hart the son of One of Canada's most succesful promoters Stu Hart, defintly developed the geans.
The Canadian Superstar has left his mark in WWF, and was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006. Surprisingly even after WWE Montreal Screwjob. Bret will go down in history as The Greatest Superstar of the 90's in my opinion.
2000's Dominate Wrestler- Randy Orton
Being Heel, is Orton speciality. Randy Orton holding multiple World Titles, and became the youngest World Champion ever at the age of 24 by defeating Chris Benoit. Randy has became the WWE go to guy.
Orton could be the greatest heel wrestler of all time. 2000 was defintly a great decade to have Randy Orton.
