Announcer Says Eastern Michigan Kicker Made Field Goal He Clearly Missed

During the first quarter of Saturday's game between Eastern Michigan and Toledo, Eagles kicker Paulie Fricano missed a 50-yard field goal wide right.

Jay Feely bizarrely told a different story.

"Off the crossbar," the former NFL kicker said even though the ball went nowhere near the goal posts. "He just barely had enough, but he knocked it through."

Feely took the broadcast to a commercial break by saying Eastern Michigan had tied the game 3-3. At that point, the Rockets still held a 3-0 advantage.

Fricano also missed an extra point after Eastern Michigan scored a touchdown late in the opening period. Let's hope the CBS commentator did not instead gush over a daring two-point conversion.
