Fans Want Griffey To Hit Number 600, but The Opposing Teams Do Not

matt carpenterCorrespondent IJune 4, 2008

It's pretty sad that none of the opposing teams will actually pitch to Griffey.

It seems that the only people that want to see him make history by accomplishing that which only five other players have actually accomplished, are the fans. Heck, the Philly fans where even booing when Griffey got walked.

I'm assuming that Ken Griffey Jr. will get make history in the next couple of games, it'll more then likely be at home, the same place where he hit number 599. The reason I say that is because that's where everyone wants him to hit it at anyways.

Once he hits that 600th homer, he'll end up passing Slammin' Sammy Sosa for fifthth on the all time home run list, he even has a chance to be fourth all time.

Just think of how many he would actually have if he was healthy for all these years.
