The Battle For Fifth

The big question in Nationwide Series competition is not who will win the championship battle between Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards yet who will finish 5th. Justin Allgaier and Steven Wallace have been pushing each other to their limits and the past few weeks seeing how they bounce in from Justin holding 5th to Steven holding 5th it goes to show how hard these two men are trying for this spot in points.

Looking in depth to these drivers Justin Allgaier, this is his first season in the Nationwide series and it's no suprise that Rodger Penske found this young talent and found him quickly. As hard as it is to win in this series (seeing as how 99.% of the races are won by Sprint Cup drivers) he has managed to do as great as 5th and holding down the 5th spot.  And at Lowe's he finished 12th and gained a lot of points on Steven Wallace. I still wouldn't get ahead of myself by saying it's a done deal but with the proformances Allgaier has been showing as long as he keeps this mojo going he will capture the 5th place.

Now as for the Rusty Wallace Inc Chevy, Steven Wallace has yet to capture his first Nationwide series win but with the way his season has been going he's not far from it. Kansas Wallace and Allgaier made huge contact yet Allgaier come on top of Wallace. This weekend however at Lowe's it seemed Steven was just not ment to be ahead of Allgaier as Steven crashed early on in a multi car wreck caused Steven to have a bad day. To add insult to injury Steven had a late crash mid race on his own, it seemed Steven was exiting turn four and just couldn't hold on to it.
