Cricket world XI?

Danny ArcherContributor IJune 4, 2008

Lets say the ICC need a world XI to take on New Zealand in a test match who would be in it?

Lets start with England and most people would say pietersonbecause he is naturally class, but he hasn't been in fine form as he, what about Alistar Cook, fine batsmen and learning the game quite quickly. However ive started to feel that England are lacking world class players like Australia. Bowling wise Ryan Sidebottom could be a good player to have. He was class against the kiwis over the Christmas period but as failed to get his consistent over here.

Australia. They to me have the best two batsmen in the world at the minute, and they are Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey. However i do feel they have failed to replace McGrath and Warne.

Anyway heres my best test 11

out of 10

1.Sachin Tendulkar 9

2.Graeme Smith 8

3.Ricky Ponting (c) 9

4.Michael Hussey 9

5.Kevin Pieterson 8

6.Andrew Symonds 8

7.Brendon McCullum (wk) 8

8.Ryan Sidebotton 8

9.Brett Lee 9

10.Dale Steyn 9

11.Muttiah Muralitharan 9
