Former Plattsburgh goalie and 2009 Herb Hammond Most Valuable Player of the Year Bryan Hince was released Thursday by the Flint Generals of the International Hockey League.

Hince left Plattsburgh in May, a few months after he had led the Cardinals to their second straight SUNYAC Championship, to pursue the professional ranks of hockey.

He had also cited the school's tuition increase as a factor in his decision to leave. He was released by the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League earlier this month.
