Dillon Danis wasn't making the swag walk Saturday night.
Danis, whose outspoken glitziness closely mirrors that of training partner Conor McGregor, got a taste of his own medicine Saturday night at Polaris 5, a professional grappling event.
According to a report from Peter Carroll of MMA Fighting, Danis lost by decision to Garry Tonon. The bout followed plenty of back-and-forth between the two, which is par for the course for Danis, a standout jiu-jitsu player who recently switched over to MMA to much one-person fanfare.
Ultimately, Tonon claimed victory on Saturday, and afterward paraphrased McGregor, saying, "I would like to apologize to absolutely f--king nobody!"
The ripple effect on Danis' icon status has yet to be determined.
