World Number three Novak Djokovic has reached the Quarter Finals of the ATP Masters 1000 Event in Shanghai after recording a comprehensive victory against the former Australian Open finalist Rainer Schuettler.

The 1st set was fairly tight but Djokovic still managed to edge it 6-4 and the Serb cruised through the second set 6-2 to seal a 6-4 6-2 victory and book his place in the Quarter Finals where he will meet the Frenchman Gilles Simon. Djokovic has fond memories of playing in Shanghai, last year he stunned the tennis world and won the ATP Masters cup there. The Serb also won the ATP China Open in Beijing last week where he beat Marin Cilic of Croatia in the final. Djokovic has been in four Masters 1000 finals this year but is still seeking his 1st shield of 2009. He has however won four Masters 1000 titles over the course of his career so far. If Djokovic can maintain his recent form then he has every chance of upsetting the Betting Odds and winning the Masters Cup once again.
