I will admit that what I am about to so say is neither profound nor popular and many of you may dismiss it but here it goes.

I love my boys "The Raiders" just as much as many if not all of you. It hurts me to my core as a fan that I get excited every year about our possibilities and our potential, just to get let down again. I also hurt for guys like, Nnamdi, Gallery, Janikowski, & Lechler, guys who have not only been on the team for a while but also do their job every game. They deserve to be on a better team. I would hate to lose them but it may be inevitable. I live in Nashville so I haven't had the pleasure of going the a Raiders Home Game so I hurt for all our fans who throw good money after bad, every year, hoping that Al Davis will turn this ship around

We as fans talk all the time about, "What Al Davis should do is...", or "The Coach is only a puppet..." or "This player sucks because..." We cant change the players. We cant change the coaching staff. We certainly cant change Al Davis. I read another fans post and he quoted Einstein as saying, "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." Very True! That should be posted in the Alameda practice facility for everyone to see. There is another quote however that we as fans should adopt, "God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference." (serenity prayer)

Whether you believe in God or not is not my concern. The point is we have to be Courageous enough to change what WE AS FANS can change with respect to the Raiders. STOP BUYING TICKETS AND PARAPHERNALIA until Al Davis realizes that WE are sick and tired of the mediocrity.
We are sick of losing. Sick of players just getting a paycheck and not caring about performing. Stop having so much hands on dealings with the team. Hire a qualified GM (Admiral) and let him hire a qualified Coach (Captain) to steer our wandering ship back on course to winning a Superbowl.

Another fan posted that the greatness of the Raiders lies in its Future. I disagree. For the past 6 years, the greatness of the Raiders lies in the Past! Don't get me wrong.....we CAN be great. We have great talent just not great Ownership, Coaching or Leadership. I believe in my heart of hearts that we are going to hit ROCK BOTTOM and unfortunately lose some great guys who will either go to other teams and find success or retire as a Raider but be very unfulfilled as professional player. Either way......WE LOSE!

I have taken a personal stance against our mediocrity. I won't wear any of my Raiders jerseys or buy any future tickets to Raiders/Titans games in Nashville, or buy ANY Raider paraphernalia until something happens to get us going in the right direction. I am also going on a mission to spread the word to other Raider Booster Clubs to do the same.

At some point as a fan, you have to stop ranting about change and put something into action. Personally, I intend to.

Whose with me?
