Senior Wide Receiver Chris McGaha, has been missing from practice the past two days, while recovering from the flu. His number thirteen jersey, however, has been out at practice, but at a different position.
Although the Phoenix native has not been participating at practice, his maroon number thirteen jersey has been sported by Senior quarterback Danny Sullivan.
In regards to McGaha's absence, the Arizona State coaching staff has been discussing the possibilities of burning the redshirt seasons of Jamal Miles and J.J. Holiday, both Arizona natives.
Miles was a star running back at Peoria High School the past four years, and in his Senior season, he led the state in rushing yards.
Head Coach Dennis Erickson also stated that miles would also be given a shot a returning kicks with Omar Bolden (knee) and Kyle Williams (hamstring) being limited this week in practice.
Although in some areas the Sun Devils are starting to get healthy, but the skill position players have seemed to be dropping like flies lately.
But on a positive note for ASU, 2007 Lou Groza Award winner, Tom Weber has been kicking in practice again, and from the looks of it, he will be back in action this upcoming week vs. Washington. To what capacity is still up in the air, but the Sun Devils need help in the kicking game, after missing two extra points against the Washington State Cougars last Saturday.
