Grizzlies Need To Start Allen Iverson

The Grizzlies have not been playing to well in preseason.

They are 1-3 right now and by the end of the night could potentially be 1-4. Lionel Hollins must not be liking what he is seeing. The Grizzlies are missing that piece. Mayo is not shooting well and Conley is not doing that great either.

The Grizzlies need Iverson to start, even if it his first game back from injury. Iverson has to be careful though and not rush back from this hamstring injury or it could get worse and this redemption year could go down the drain. Even I do not think Iverson can play well right from the start. He must be real rusty due to not playing for almost six months now, and I do not see the Grizzlies or Iverson getting off to a great start.

But Iverson needs to start because he can put up points if given the chance. I think Lionel Hollins has to try the Iverson show out to see how it goes. The Iverson show is letting him take game overs and AI has not been allowed to put that show on since he was in Denver. Even there he had to change up the way he plays because he had a superstar in Carmelo Anthony.

I think this Grizzlies preseason has showed Hollins that they are missing something and that is points and assists. I believe AI can still put up 18 points this season (a season ago I would be saying I still believe AI can put up 28 ppg).

It is freaky how one season can just make people forget about who you are and force you to change your game. I predict this Grizzlies season to be a disaster and it may be the last season for one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA—Allen Iverson.
