Put your hands up if you remember Freddie Ljungberg's famous exit from Arsenal FC after nine years at the club. From my point of view he left on a somewhat sour note, when he said:

"Two years ago when I signed my last contract we talked a lot about the future, and we would be bringing a lot of big players and try to stay top in England and Europe. For me that didn't really happen; there were always clubs wanting to sign me every summer and I felt Arsenal had let a lot of players go, but when Thierry left I felt it was time for me to do something different and challenging."

Because we all know that Thierry and Freddie are Siamese twins right! He was also quoted saying that:

"Arsenal's new youthful team lacked ambition and drive"

This angered fans of Arsenal and the team as well and it was not too long after Freddie's comments, did Robin Van Persie fire back at the Swedish international when he said:

"If you play nine years at a club like Arsenal you can say some nice words, so if you're coming up with excuses about Thierry's departure and about promises from the club it's a bit weak."

This rift between Freddie and Arsenal lasted only a few months when Arsene and Freddie finally calmed the waters. Freddie said that he was wrong to question Arsenal's ambition after their blazing start to the season, and Wenger said that it was hard to hold a grudge with Freddie because he is such an honest guy.

One season later, just when we were beginning to think that this crazy exchange was over, hurricane Freddie hit again. All over the news we hear that Freddie Ljungberg is trashing Arsenal's manager Arsene Wenger!

Freddie reportedly said:

"Working with Wenger was like being in the army" and accused the Manager of playing him through injuries and not giving him time to recover and also called Wenger, "materialistic and deceitful".

Freddie also said that it was Arsenal who showed him the door and that he never wanted to leave, but since he had no choice he went to West Ham in order to play Arsenal as much as possible so he could have revenge.

Earlier today though, Freddie has reportedly denied that he ever said such things about Arsene Wenger and said that he enjoyed an excellent relationship with Arsene Wenger and denied leaving Arsenal on bad terms.

Once again we hear Freddie trough horrible comments in Arsenal's direction and quickly take them back. What do you think of Freddie's actions? Do you believe him or the article? I personally want give him the benefit of the doubt but his comments last season were along the same lines.
