Fantasy Football's Week 6 Starts and Sits

Another week of Fantasy Football is upon us as we reach Week Six.

With studs such as Tony Romo and Peyton Manning on bye, one must weigh his options carefully. Which players make it for a good alternative?


Start of the Week


Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck showed last week that despite the rib injury that he was indeed ready to play. Seattle thumped Jacksonville 41-0. In that game, Hasselbeck produced a stat line of 18-for-30 for 241 yards and four touchdowns. I look for continued success this week. In Week Six Seattle will host the Arizona Cardinals.

The Seahawks reap the benefits of being the home team. Arizona is also vulnerable to the pass. Through Week Five the Cardinals have been giving up 25.3 fantasy points to quarterbacks in yardage leagues. But if you look at the past three weeks you will see that the matchup trends better. Two weeks ago Arizona had a bye. With that extra week to prepare, they still gave up 371 passing yards and two touchdowns to Texans QB Matt Schaub. These numbers suggest that Hasselbeck will continue to roll in Week Six. Keep him in your lineup and ride the hot hand...
