Matt Mitrione Dons Giants Jersey After Bellator MMA Victory

Matt Mitrione may have changed careers, but he recalls his roots. 

The former New York Giants defensive tackle faced off against Fedor Emelianenko in the co-main event of Bellator 180 at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. 

It was a short-lived match, with "Meathead" Mitrione and Emelianenko seemingly knocking each other out simultaneously in the first round. Mitrione recovered first and won by knockout. 

As he left the mat a victor, Mitrione made sure to put on his old Giants jersey as a shoutout to his past NFL life.
