Are you ready?
I said, ARE YOU READY?
Well, if you are a fan of D-Generation X, then you might be interested in checking out their book, Are You Ready? The Unauthorized History of DX, available at WWEshop.com (and other fine retailers). See what I did there? I learned how to properly plug merchandise by reading this book.
Before even opening the front cover, readers are provided with classic DX humor with the book reviews found on the back.
"A complex tale of redemption featuring a pair of modern American heroes embarking on a Homeric journey of self-discovery through an Orwellian dystopia. Oh, and male cheerleaders, too." —PAUL LEVESQUE
"Truly, D-Generation X is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!"—ANONYMOUS CANADIAN WRESTLING LEGEND
The words found on the 256 pages were quickly devoured as the book proves to be a quick read.
This is by no means a must-read for wrestling fans unless you are a die-hard fan of D-Generation X.
Shawn Michaels and Triple H, with the help of Aaron Williams, wrote the book. The founding fathers of one of the most revolutionary groups in professional wrestling are basically talking to each other throughout the text.
Broken up into three acts, the tale starts in the summer of 1997, but we are quickly informed about the Madison Square Garden incident of 1996. It was the MSG incident where Shawn Michaels and Triple H broke character and came out to hug fellow Kliq members Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in the middle of the ring. This was a big no-no as the men broke kayfabe.

Throughout the read, the men showed they have no issue incorporating real-world situations, such as Triple H's marriage to Stephanie McMahon or Shawn's previous angry years.
The pages are very short and the book is filled with many you may deem as filler.
Every so often, you will come across a gray page that simply shows the DX logo. Dispersed throughout the book are little DX facts, akin to the "Did You Know?" factoids found on RAW episodes.
Triple H does the majority of the talking here, since the early years with Michaels, Triple H and Chyna were cut short due to Michaels' hiatus after WrestleMania XIV.
For those who do not remember, it was after that WrestleMania when Triple H stepped out from Michaels' shadow and led the second incarnation of DX with Chyna, Sean Waltman, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg.

Anyone who is a fan of juvenile humor and seeing a lot of rear ends will feel right at home reading this. DX do love their sophomoric humor.
The book ends after Triple H's quad injury during the tag match between DX and Rated RKO at the New Year's Revolution pay-per-view. Thus, anyone hoping to learn about things from this 2009 run is out of luck.
We aren't given any in-depth information, as I'm sure the WWE made sure the two kept some things quiet.
At the end, readers can also test their DX knowledge by taking a short, 50-question trivia quiz.
For $16, a bit cheaper on Amazon, there are worse things to buy. Plus, you'll find out their thoughts on certain wrestlers and the possibility of putting new members in the group.
