Ryan Church, the new right fielder for the Mets, is having a season that could drastically help the Queen's team.

Only playing in 48 out of a possible 56 games, Church has put together 54 hits (which is tied for third with Carlos Beltran) while with the Mets.

He has the highest batting average on the team with .314. He is also tied for second with Beltran in RBI, with 34, which is only eight behind power slugger David Wright. Wright has played in all 56 games.

Church has the highest slugging percentage on the team at .547. He has 10 homers, which is second on the team, only one behind Wright.

In the entire league, Chruch is 20th in batting average, tied for 30th in homers and tied for 18th in slugging percentage.

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot to mention he has yet to make an error in the field, which only four other guys have yet to do in the right field position.

All in all, the transaction for Ryan Church was more than intelligent. It was a trade that has gone unappreciated by Mets fans.
