Daniel Snyder Chasing Down Mike Shanahan

Jarrett CarterAnalyst IOctober 11, 2009

Apparently, a "no" from Mike Shanahan to be the next Washington head coach means "later" to owner Daniel Snyder.

If Shanahan is smart, he’ll talk to Marty Schottenheimer, Steve Spurrier, Norv Turner and the rest of the former Snyder hopefuls that know the scoop on why working for the biggest buffoon in sports is a bad idea. No matter how much money he’s offering.

Wouldn’t that be funny? Snyder fires Zorn and promotes Greg Blache to interim head coach. Blache, following a loss to the Dallas Cowboys, quits in an epic post game tirade to the national media.

And Snyder is left with Terry Robiskie as the only man who will coach this team.

Forgive me. Dreaming is the only hope left for this squad.
